What we collect

Customers: your email, company name, the alert preferences you give us, and for Bid Draft the documents and company details you send. Payments are handled by Stripe, we never see your card details.

Business contacts we email: we use supplier names from public contract award notices published on Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, and the business contact email shown on that company's own website. We only contact incorporated businesses, at business addresses.

Website visitors: we don't use analytics or advertising cookies. Our host (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Why, and our legal basis

To provide the service you've paid for (contract). To tell businesses about a service relevant to the public contracts they already bid for (legitimate interests). You can object at any time and we'll stop straight away.

Who we share it with

Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and database), Google (email sending through Gmail). We don't sell or rent data.

How long we keep it

Customer data for as long as you're a customer plus 6 years for accounting records. Bid documents are deleted 90 days after delivery. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep your address on a suppression list so we never email it again.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@octrel.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
